There are a lot of employees that wants to get promoted because they want there salary to increase and which includes the increase of her/his power in the organization.Sometimes employees become desperate for the sake of promotion. It becomes a source of conflict and stress to employees. One of the driving force why employee become super productive is because of promotion and employers use it to make there employees more productive. However, some employers go beyond, they use it to manipulate employees for there own gain.Promotion becomes a tool of manipulation not motivation.Managers who are not well trained opt to make this move to advance there personal interest in the organization. All employees including managers have personal interest but i think it is outside the organization, however when the culture of the organization allows personal interest towards work inside the organization it will take advantage of other employees it and becomes an unethical practice, thus paving the way of a new culture of manipulation disguise in the word of promotion.Manipulation slowly destroys the organization is such a way that it carries the personal interests of managers and workers towards work which is irrelevant which makes them unproductive. The goals of the organization are forgotten because of personal interest. When the organization interest is the priority, all the goals of the organization will not impossible to achieve because employees work towards the achievement of it.When promotion is used in a proper way stress and conflict will be lessen.So what is the proper way to use promotion? The proper way of using promotion depends on the culture of the organization, you know it as a manager of the organization because you experience first hand your own culture.Instead of manipulation,you motivate.
