Respect is the new rule in the 21st century. It is something that everybody should learn because respect is not the same as what perceive in the past. Respect has already evolve today and it is being used in all areas of our lives because it is the new rule or what we call as the new law that everyone should follow. So how do you improve respect? Let me give you some tips on how to improve your respect towards other people, in events, in business, with groups, in parties etc.
1. Know yourself This is the most important and the first thing that you should learn because if you are not aware of what you are doing it becomes a problem because sometimes our action maybe in some way disrespect other people. 2. Be aware of your surroundings Remember that you are not the only one living in this world there are people who are doing there own thing knowing your surroundings will increase your respect towards other people. 3. Don't compel other people to do things Compelling other people to do things is disrespectful especially if that person doesn't like what he will be doing. Do not force someone to do something for you because every individual is free, they are not your slave. 4. Do your job When you have a job know the scope of your job and do it. If you cant do it don't pass it to other people well if you want to pass it to other people pay them for that extra work that you gave him. If you don't know your job or you cant do it just leave its the best option that you have. You are doing yourself a favor. 5. Ask permission asking permission is a form of respect especially if you are borrowing some thing that is not yours, It is basic right? Regardless if it is your bestfriend, sister, family, spouse, parents. Always remember to ask permission. 6. Do not take advantage of people smaller than you We are all human beings we deserve respect regardless of who we are and what we are. Stepping on other people because of your ignorance is not an excuse. To enjoy life fully, is to respect all kinds of people. Your position will never define what kind of person you are, it is your actions towards other people that makes you who you are. 7. Do not spread fake news This has always been rampant nowadays people love to make stories to destroy someone, or to control someone or situation. Spreading fake news is not a good idea, instead spread the truth because the truth will always be the truth. 8. Set aside your ego If your ego is not helpful to you don't unleash it because ego can hurt other people. Ego may make you big than other people but its only a temporary comfort of what you feel or want to feel. Instead of having such ego be kind and help other people you will have a good relations with others. 9. Improve your values The best way to be more respectful to other people and in any circumstances is to improve your good values in life. Because all the values you know is geared towards respect. If you are lacking values its high time for you to acquire and practice more values. Wherever part of the world you maybe, regardless of your religion and culture. Respect should be fully integrated to bring peace not only in your family, community, society, but globally. Wars and conflicts is the result of disrespect. Christmas is the most awaited time of the year because it brings love, generosity, and kindness. We at Jar leadership and management lab always see to it that we are able to make children happy this Christmas. We believe that the children hold the key to a better future of our society. In this effort we organized games and give little gift to the less fortunate kids in the society to let them feel that Christmas is a time for love and happiness. Looking at kids happy and enjoying is something that bring gladness and joy to our hearts. We also give gifts to selected people and free loads. The importance of giving not expecting in return makes this world a better place for each one of us. We are always thankful to the blessings that we receive this year regardless if it is small. We strengthen our values to make an impact to our clients and to the society we live in. Through giving and sharing we are developing and improving our core values that improves our performance and productivity. We are continually developing and enhancing our values even with the ill actions of other people. I currently experienced the filthiness of old people but it will not make me trade my values for an emotional and psychologically problematic people who just one want to inflict harm to other people out of envy and jealousy. They are devil in sheep's clothing. I hope and pray that those people will be enlightened already this 2022. They just want to find work for additional income or to find a permanent work. The 21st century workplace is demanding because there are lot of work to be done unless some work are just being delegated that gives the employees so many things to be done. So what makes an organization traditional? Why is the traditional method is not the right path today?. 1.Traditional organization view work as physical tiring work. " You are not working if you are tired. We are paying to work therefore you should be stressed and tired." This is how a traditional organization think. Increasing performance and productivity of employees is not done that way because when people are stressed and burned out performance and productivity decreases it will kill there enthusiasm in working. The work will cause physical illness in the long run, if that is your idea of work. Focusing on there welfare will increase performance and productivity. I know it is difficult to do, it is easier said than done. Focusing on the specific duties and responsibilities of each employee which they signed up for is the start of change. 2.Traditional organization makes there employees feel guilty When organization make employees feel guilty about the benefits and bonuses they receive, it is by far a sign of a traditional organization because benefits and bonuses is part of the monetary rewards given to employees making them feel guilty about is not only a sign of traditional organization its a sign manipulation and psychological abuse which should not be done by organizations. 3.Traditional organization do not want to automate The information technology offers systems and processes that makes jobs easier, faster, and with quality. Sometimes I call this the app age and software domination because we are already being ruled by this things which makes our work easier. When organization want to remain the same, using what they only knew for so many years and not using existing technology for the benefit of the organization and its employees so that there services will be more efficient and customer will be satisfied then it is a sign of traditional organization. 4.Traditional organization punishes employees Employees come to work. If they are not working according to what organization expect there must be something wrong. The reason behind it must be known, punishing an employee will not make things better for the organization, for your customer and for that employee. Disciplining and punishing employee is only done when an employee committed a crime, is about to commit a crime. If they are just lazy, there are so many reasons why they became lazy sometimes we fail to know the reason or we are not able to understand because sometimes it is the fault of the organization why they became lazy and then you will punish. How harsh can you get? 5.Tradtional organization doesn't focuses on employees career growth and development Aside from the work that employees are doing, they must grow together with the company. When organization focus only on themselves neglecting the critical role of there employees they become traditional. One of the responsibility of organization is to develop there employees because when they resign they are still able to find work, a better work. 6.Traditional organizations exploit there employees Employees work based on there duties and responsibilities given to them. When the organization exploit them by giving unrelated tasks which is not part of their work. It will be a dilemma to them because what they came for is there duties and responsibilities. Employees will disengaged and disconnect if this will happen,they may follow but it would be insincere. This is not the right path today because of the influence of technology. The employees attitude and character towards work is becoming different. The workforce is being replaced by millennials and generation Z that is why organization must be evolve together with the evolution of technology. Just like the species and organisms they have evolve because there environment is changing, so that they will be able to survive. It is time to change our perspective towards the workplace and make the workplace a better place for employees to work productively. Way back 2010 onwards my international clients were from Malaysia, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and United States from website reviews to research we have successfully delivered it to our clients. I have encountered a lot of them today it is always a lessoned learned from me and to all of us. We can control the risks but we cannot totally eliminate it. We will identify today what are those risks involve in transaction internationally. 1. You don't get paid When you are remotely working and you offer your services to international clients one of the major risk is non payment. No matter how good your contract and agreements were sometimes it will be a bad day for you just treat it like a lesson for you and learn from it. Just practice due diligence. If you have doubts don't continue. 2. Misunderstanding There are two reasons why this exist. First is communication barrier and culture barrier. Communication styles of people from other countries are different that is why you have to study and research. There belief and practices are different that is why you need to study and research about there culture. Having an open mind of these differences will mitigate this risk. 3. Time I had two call center trainings around 2009 part of the training was to understand time differences because we don't have the same time with other countries. We have to memorize the various time differences with our potential clients. Sometimes failing to understand the time differences will turn time into a risk but a low risk which is very manageable. Time is a controllable factor, it is easy to adjust both of your time and deadlines when you consider the time difference. 4.Method of payment Yes! this is the crucial part because payment must be immediately received by remote workers. Some method of payment becomes a risk because it takes time before you are able to receive it and charges will apply. Some banks process international payments for a few days before you are able to receive it. PayPal have a lot of requirements and will charge for there services. Negotiate with the quickest payment possible. 5. Internet Connection To some people this is a risk because when you have a meeting and when your connection is slow it will become a risk for your business meeting. In our case, my internet connection is fast, we have stand by generators, and back up computers and laptops so that our work and deadlines will be met for our work and remote work. Before you offer your international clients make sure that you have fast connection and back up ISP provider. 6. Illicit Jobs Some jobs are illegal in nature. You have to know if your client is legitimate or not. Because if you find a fraudulent client chances are you will be included if things go wrong. Make sure that your clients business is legitimate. We don't accept illegal businesses or businesses which will harm other people. I came across a client that would like to promote gambling to other people. I automatically declined the offer because it is against my values. My philosophical values is we will help you so that your business can help other people prosper or your clients will be satisfied. If we will not find clients because of this values so be it! We will not accept illicit jobs no matter how high the payment is. We have very few clients because we choose our clients. Our view when it comes to competition in the industry. We see our competitors as our partners in helping our clients. Our clients are also our partners. It is the most awaited time of the year for everyone of us. When I was a kid I am always excited when it is Christmas because the atmosphere changes from Christmas decorations to twinkling Christmas lights and Christmas songs in malls and stores. Christmas divert you from your own reality to the spirit of Christmas of giving and loving. Christmas give everyone a hope from young kids to old people. Young kids wishes to Santa Claus and old people are able to see there relatives and friends because of Christmas gatherings and reunions. This time of the year is all about celebrating what truly matters to us. People are happy and smiling because this month is all about positivity and love. Celebration is always the theme of December, parties are all over the place. Food and gifts are flooding in every organization and businesses because its the end of the year that will set a new beginning for another year. Life is just a cycle that keeps on repeating itself through times, days, months, and years. What makes life interesting is the traditions and culture we put on those times, days, months, and years, without those life will be so boring and dull. This time of the month has been really thought of which only means we have to celebrate because its the end of the month to welcome a new year. This is the culmination of the hard work that people put into there jobs in the organization which will always deserve a celebration. Gifts, bonuses, and other benefits related to the end of the year is what are employees looking forward to because each and everyone of them deserve it. This world becomes a world of happiness every December for everyone even for those people who have less in life because this time of the year is about sharing the happiness and the blessings that people received.
