There are some things that leaders and managers can do, but some that they cannot. They may have influence over their staff, but that authority is not absolute. Managers and leaders are not there to misuse their authority, but to use it to achieve the organization's goals and objectives in a lawful and ethical manner. If you are a leader or manager in a company, regardless of your position, you may find some useful information in this article about the things you should not do in your organization. 1.Do not abuse your power. You are given that specific authority to achieve the organization's aims and objectives, not your own. I recognize that reaching an organization's aims and objectives is difficult owing to the organization's complexity and the interplay of numerous resources and the political climate. There may be times when you must truly misuse your power in order to attain your organization's aims and objectives. Take care. 2. Do not blame game. When some managers and leaders want to get away with something, they will use this tactic. They are prone to blaming others. Putting the blame on others will not fix the problem. It is not a good idea to have someone who will absorb your blunders. You must address challenges head on as a leader and manager! Otherwise, you cannot be a leader or manager, which implies that all of the organization's training dollars were wasted. 3. Do not use your personnel. Watch what you say to your employees. Never give them the impression or hear that you are merely utilizing them. These are human beings who have been gifted with rights. Like a leader and manager, you must treat them as wonderful people rather than slaves. Your organization's structure should not denigrate your employees because, as we all know, they are the ones who work. 4. Avoid wasting money. Managers are allocated funds for project implementation and other departmental expenses. When a manager or leader uses it for other purposes, the organization's faith in the management or leader is violated. In an emergency circumstance where he has no alternative, a management or leader can shift funds. 5. Don't believe you know more than your employees. It is a certainty that there will always be someone better than you. When you think like that as a leader or manager, you are embarrassing yourself. I recall one incident when I was in a group with a few folks who I believe were better than me. I kept it low-key so that the prevailing dynamics would not be disrupted. It is beneficial to observe and learn from those around you so that you are aware of their level of knowledge, talent, and attitude. 6. Do not be a beggar. Leaders do not beg. You do not collect and request money from your employees for any reason. It is not the responsibility of managers and leaders to solicit for money from anyone. It diminishes the position, especially in the context of leadership. Beggars ask for money because they are in need. Leaders lead because they are exceptional individuals. Don't beg, be fantastic! 7. Do not offend others. Your staff are human beings with feelings and thoughts, so be mindful of how you treat and communicate with them. Jokes are acceptable, but be sure they do not offend the person. Individuals can be sensitive in certain parts of their lives. They must be respected. Even if they committed faults and errors, they strive to influence them rather than rectify them. This is an excellent opportunity for you to influence them. Sometimes we believe that what we are doing is correct. I've met a few CEOs and managers that do the opposite. I am annoyed and saddened every time I encounter such leaders and managers. I occasionally assisted them, but there are others who will not listen and the best thing to do is to simply leave. I am not a hero and do not wish to become one, but I am willing to assist. Leaders and managers are not perfect, but it takes maturity, openness, dedication, courage, ethics, and morale to be one. It appears to be difficult, doesn't it? because you can't be a leader if you're immature, closed-minded, insecure, and immoral, even if you obsess on your good heart or whatever, you'll be a horrible role model and influence to others. To all leaders and managers out there, regardless of where you are, be a good and better leader and help to make the world a better place for everyone! cheers!
