The premise of this principle is that, the moment we engage with other individuals, we begin to develop conflict. From early childhood into adulthood, everyone of us has the opportunity to engage in conflict with a fellow human being. It appears like any time two or more individuals are in the same environment together, conflicts inevitably break out. Let's begin with the children. When youngsters are grouped together, you will see that at first they get along well, but hostilities soon will break out between them. This is true even if the level of conflict is low; someone is bound to cry or get hurt during the conflict. It's frightening to think of the impact on the elderly if this is occurring to children. Adolescents in a social setting, such as a school. As a teacher, I am well aware that no classroom is completely free of conflict because clashes are bound to flare out at some point during the school year. Conflict is inevitable in any setting that includes both young adults and adults, such as the workplace, a group, a team, or an organization. Think about the workplace you work with; chances are, you may recall a moment when a disagreement arose, and rest assured that more similar disagreements will happen in the future. Priests are not immune to conflicts just like any other profession. Regardless of how bright or successful a family members may be, every family has struggled with strife at some point. No amount of wealth can protect a family from fighting within themselves and with the outside world. Even if you and your partner claim to love and understand each other deeply and make a solemn vow in front of God, disagreements are inevitable in any close relationship. It could begin at the very beginning of the relationship, or it could develop through time. Conflict between a child and an adult can arise in any interaction, regardless of the gender of either party. Every group, regardless of age, gender, or social standing, will inevitably experience some level of conflict. When the elderly gather in large numbers, tensions are bound to surface. Conflict is inherent to the human condition and existence. Think about animals (no, not the one next to you or the one you live with right now haha), and you'll realize that any group of animals, even insects, will inevitably involve some kind of conflict. This universe appears to be a vast battlefield. This is the point where the principle is first articulated. I had this idea at 12:11 a.m., when you were probably doing something like checking your phone, sleeping soundly, watching TV, contemplating your problem, or thinking deeply about a problem. To my knowledge, this is a completely unique piece of work. That is to say, contrary to the views of certain modern philosophers that we are all connected, we are not a single, unified entity but rather distinct individuals who must learn to get by in the world on our own. Humans are social creatures, and the social standards we've established mean that we need each other to get by. We are not united by any inherent bonds. We have bound ourselves together with constraints that are causing perpetual struggle. Even though we are naturally a conflict kind of beings , the universe and God created us to be problem solvers through the lens of the balance principle, so that whenever we find ourselves in a conflict with another person, we have the ability to work through the issue on both a communal and personal level. From early childhood through old age, we are at odds with one another because of our individuality, selfishness, immaturity, greed, and vested interests. Think about all the battles you've had to fight in your lifetime. There is a conflict that everyone is aware of, and there is a conflict that only you know about.
