Today leadership is more needed than in the past because as technology conquers organization, the shift needs leadership. Leadership according to researches is the most understood topic of all time. People view leadership as a position, some say it is action, others say it is people. This idea about leadership is correct perhaps if you can observe leaders they are doing these things.
It is necessary for us to understand how leadership is triggered. Famous authors of leadership told us that leadership is triggered because of past events that happened to them that triggered the leadership in them. It is a correct concept because I believe it is a common occurrence to people who experience both positive and negative events that trigger their innate leadership capability. What triggers leadership? I've been trying to dissect leadership from the beginning of it until the end of leadership because I think leadership is a process. This leadership perspective is from an organization/company scenario. Organizations are created because of its mission, vision, goals, and objectives these things are critically important to be achieved for an organization to be successful. I describe an organization as a human being. I believe that leadership is triggered because of the goals of the organization that is needed to be achieved. Without goals, leadership will not start or be triggered it needs a goal for leadership to come out. While its true that personal experience also triggers leadership but the deeper trigger of leadership are goals. So what is a goal? on the internet, you can find this definition of organizational goal " are strategically set objectives that outline expected results and guide employees' efforts ". Let us examine this definition and relate it to leadership. According to this definition goals are results that are expected without leaders it will be difficult for a department to achieve the expected results. The next is it "guides employees' efforts" Leaders must guide their employees even if that employee is the oldest employee their effort must be guided so that the expected result will be achieved. As you can see Leadership is triggered by goals without goals there is no use for leadership. Leadership always start with a goal that must be achieved. Takeaway Leadership is not only about people it is also about you. It is not only for organizational goals but also for personal goals. If you want to trigger the leadership in you, you must have a goal for that goal that triggers the leadership in you. It is true that leadership starts in you. I am starting to believe now that leadership is innate. If a kid wants some ice cream (which can be referred to as a goal) he will do everything to convince his parents to buy him some ice cream until such time his/her parents will buy him an ice cream. That is leadership and leadership is in every one of us. I believe that leadership is INNATE it is in YOU and ME. Trigger the leadership in you because it is in your system waiting to be tapped!
